Urgent Prayer for Philip Lane – Organizer and Sponsor of David Hathaway’s Slovakia Crusade.
Philip Lane was taken critically ill 10 days ago. He has now been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour. Medically, it is unlikely that he can live more than a few months.
Philip is an English businessman, operating out of Cyprus with business interests in Slovakia. Last year he came across a copy of Czech Mate, David’s account of his time in prison in Czechoslovakia. Then he saw our programme on CNBC where David referred to his time in prison. Philip knew in his spirit then that he wanted to work with us in Slovakia. When he talked with his business and church contacts, he discovered that they knew David’s ministry and also had a desire to invite us to evangelise.
In June last year, Philip formally approached us and we began discussions about the feasibility of working together. After a few months the ‘go-ahead’ was given and Philip, along with an organising committee began work.
Philip is personally sponsoring the Slovak crusades in Proprad and Kosice, 9-14 June 2009.
